SUNNIE
Well, the other cats in the shelter told me, "you have got to have a sunny dispositon to get out of this place" so, I had enough insight to change my name and get placed in foster care though the shelter while I waited for a spot where my seal points could shine! So here I am, looking for a loving home and I have lots of love to share. Oh, and I have a few secrets too! My foster mom, Jen says you should ask her about me. I am ready to find a forever home! I have many good years ahead of me and I would love to spend them with my special purrson.

Notes from Home
Sunnie has settled in and seems to be happy. She is eating like a horse but still is slim and wirey. She and Garrison get along well and somtimes chase each other around the house. She is has much more energy than Garrison so he dosen't last too long at that game. The only problem I seem to have is she occasionally poops outside the litter box. I have bought a larger box and clean it twice a day plus scoop any poop out right away. I also keep a night light on at night so she can see the box, thought that would solve the problem but not. She seems to have gas quite often and her stools are loose so I am thinking she might just not make it to the box on time. This has happened about 4 times. I am going to take her to the vet for another check up next week. She is eating Fancy Feast chicken, beef and liver. I also give her some of Garrison's perscription food and mix a little tuna in so the both of them have the same food. If I don't he goes over and tries to eat hers which is not good for him, she holds her own though. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Loretta, Sunnie and Garrison

Do you like to talk and can hold a conversation in true Meezer talk?

Can you give LOTS of pets and a warm knee and arms to cuddle me?

Do you have a buffet of food to offer me so I can pick what I like?

Have nice, fun places for me to look down on you?

If so, you may ask about me and let me know if I missed anything!

Notes from Home
09/07/2010 -- Wow, time flies when you're having fun! I've been here just over 6 WHOLE MONTHS and everyone still loves me!

I'm a LOT more confident and comfortable in my home now. I mostly believe that no one's going to yell at me or hit me or force me to do anything I'm not comfortable about doing, but sometimes I still cringe a bit if someone makes a quick movement towards me. But Mama tells me don't be silly, no one will ever hit me, so I take a deep breath and remember she hasn't lied to me yet!

It took a while, but I hop up on counters and furniture and window sills and mantles just like everyone else does. And the best thing is Mama built me some SHELVES in the bedroom JUST FOR ME to run and leap and play on!! She's just the BEST Mama in the world! My sister Jacky and I race around them, and even fat Maggie and old Bill get up there, too.

Speaking of Bill, he's kind of a bully, and sometimes he gets me cornered in a room or under the dresser, but Mama just has to say "Billl...." in that no-nonsense voice and he goes away, so that's all good. I do wish he'd quit being so much of a bully, because I really think he just wants to play...

Jacky sort of wants to play wrestle games, but I'm not too sure about that yet. It's still a little scary for another cat to jump on me with paws and stuff, I much prefer just chasing, but I'm trying to be brave about it.

I love to sleep with Mama! I've never had a person of My Very Own to curl and snuggle with, so I always make a big production of curling into a Beauly Ball in her arms and snuggling my nose into her arm. I generally move to behind her knees during the night, but if I'm wanting reassurance or just to be close, her arm is always available! That's soooooo nice... I really feel loved by her.

So I'm very happy in my home, and I'd never change it for the world! Mama understands that I have Things To Do, Places To Go, People To See, so if I don't spend as much time in her lap as she'd like, it's okay with her. She says when I get older I'll appreciate laps more. I guess. But for now I'm a happy, active, (more) confident 2 yr old Meezer, and I finally found my Forever Home! Thank you soooo much, VASCRC and Jo!!

3/22/2010 -- Well, I've been here at HOME for a month now, and I have to say it's a really nice HOME. I have a black and white sister who's a year younger than I am to play with, and we love to play chase and wrestle allllll through the house! The other cats are all okay with me, too, but I love my new little sister to death!

And my MAMA is the most wonderful person, too! Even though she did put me in a carrier to take me to the vet, and then a week later we had to go AGAIN to get my teeth cleaned. But I love her -- I follow her around and get in her lap and sleep on her bed EVERY NIGHT!! I'm not too sure about the men beans yet, but Mama thinks they're okay, so I guess I'll get used to them.

The only snag is Mama is saying something about weaning me off gooshy food except as an occasional treat and making me eat dry food all the time.... she says it's because I get tartar on my teeth and gooshy food makes it worse or something silly like that. I hope she's not serious... I loooooove my gooshy food!!

Oh, did I mention? I'm HOME!!!!! I never knew I'd have one of my very own, but I DO!!! Thank you so much, VASCRC!!

04/22/2010 -- It's my two month update, and things are still just great here at HOME!! I've decided it's Good to sleep curled up next to Mama, in her arms, and I'm getting braver about coming out into the living room and hanging out. I've even been brave enough to curl up behind Mama's legs when she's lying on the couch.

Mama's also changed my name -- it's now just Beau, although sometimes she calls me Beaubert, Beau Diddley, Beaudacious, Beaulicious, and Beaubert McBeauBeau. I don't mind -- as long as she doesn't call me Late For Supper!

The only real snag I'm having right now is the other boy cat here -- Bill. I don't mind him much, but I don't want him lying on Mama's bed -- that's *her* bed, and she's *my* person, so he needs to not lie there! Plus he's mean to Maggie, the calico who lives in Mama's room, and I'm too much of a gentleman to stand by and let some fat grey cat intimidate a lady, so I have to intervene. Of course, I believe in verbal warfare rather than physical, so I yowl and howl at Bill until he leaves. I do sometimes have to back it up with a nip on his butt if he won't get off the bed quick enough.

But I have a lot of fun with Jack, my black and white sister, Crystal, the deaf white cat, and Maggie, the fat calico. We all play chase and tag through the house. Bill has taken over my Millie bed, but that's okay, I didn't need it anymore -- I have Mama's bed now! Bill and I peacefully coexist, except when I think he's encroaching on Mama or being mean to one of the ladies now under my protection. Then I step up to their defense. I'm truly a Prince!

ASIA
Just arrived a moment ago and have already made myself at home. Where I've lived before I've always been a mellow, friendly, happy, easy-going girl with nice manners and a sweet temperament. Foster mom says so far that looks like exactly the way I am here, too. Could I be the kind of girl you've been looking for? Ask foster mom about me and she'll keep you updated as I settle in!

Notes from Home
It's been a slow start; Luna was a bit of a scaredy cat, but after two months in her new home, she's turned the tables and now Severus creeps around her. We call her the "Demon Diva," since things have to be her way! They both sleep on our bed together, but apart (on different sides), and are usually in the same room, snoozing in the sunbeams or watching the birds. Luna now greets us at the door and checks out adult visitors (still not too keen on little kids, unless they are filling her food dish "like a mountain" says my grandson, Jack). She's not a lap sitter, but allows petting on her own terms when eating or walking around. She tells you when to stop by nipping, and sometimes "cheap shots" Severus and me with a swipe of a paw from behind a door or under the table. Luna does not want to be held, but was fine when at the vet's office. Luna is most definitely "herself," like no other cat I've ever known. It sure is great to have a Siamese back in the house!!

I'm told I have seal point diva potential. I'm not sure what that means, but I can tell you I need someone who is Siamese savvy, and doesn't mind a slightly talkative (and somewhat bossy) housemate. I may be an older kitten, but I'm still full of energy, curiosity, and into everything, so be prepared to have hurricane Willie blow into your life if you adopt me. If you think you fit my qualifications, please submit your resume by clicking on "ask about me" above my picture.

Willie is doing wonderful! She has the run of the house now and is starting to play with the boys. She loves to be out on the porch and isn't afraid of anything. She sleeps all stretched out and plastered against my back. As foster mom thought, she has not shown any interested in the bed I brought home but Mauser is enjoying it very much. It's a little to small for him but he just lets his feet hang out. Willie hasn't broken anything yet but we have found she LOVES people food. I have caught her chewing or licking our food on the counter. We have since changed our prep habits. We are so glad to have her - she is so loving and quite the entertainer.

Hey Guys!! It's me Boon! Well, my mommy changed my name to Milo. Since I was just a baby when she got me it didn't take long for me to get use to my new name, I like it ;o)! So far I'm having the time of my life - my mommy LOVES ME SO MUCH, she's always hugging and kissing on me which only makes me wanna' follow her EVERYWHERE. I wait for my mommy to get home every day and fall in front of her onto my back so she can rub my belly...I still don't know why she insists on trying to put her bags down first - sometimes I put on the extra charm just to watch her struggle to rub me...I'm mischievous like that ;o)!! Well, these days I'm a little sad...my sister Nadia left last weekend and never came back...I still look for her in hopes that she'll return but my mommy says she's gone to heaven and had cancer...don't know what cancer is but I don't like it!!! Well, hopefully I'll get a new baby brother soon...guess I'll just have to wait for that surprise one day! You guys take care and thank you Siamese Rescue for my new forever home, I'm so very happy here with my mommy ;o)!!

Tulip
Notes from Home
Hey...It's me...Tulip!

I have been in my furever home for about a year and a half now. My people LOVE me and I love them back. My family has been very easy to train, they catch on very quickly. Therefore, I RULE! But, I am a very good girl: I eat well, have perfect littlerbox habits, sit pretty for treats, play hard and help supervise with whatever chore needs to be done. I also guard the house and especially the lady of the house. If you are a stranger, don't get too close to her, especially if she is holding me. If you do, you will probably get a nice hiss and swipe with my laser lightning fast paw. These people can be a little dense, it took them a while to figure out that I was being protective and not a naughty girl.

Otherwise I am a friendly, happy, fun loving gal. I like to answer the door and greet our guests. Ping pong balls and fishing poles are my favorite toys, along with toys that have bells.

I will sleep with you for hours, but only if the time is right and the covers are prepared properly. If I am tired and want to sit with you on the chair, you MUST have two blankies ready for me to crawl in between. I peek my head under the top cover to make sure there is another one under there for me to lay on top of. That's the only proper way to take a nap, right? One blankie underneath and one on top. Otherwise, forget about it, I'll find something else to do.

I know what the word "no" means but don't like it at all. When I am told "no" I put my ears back and walk away to punish the person that dared utter that word. Hmmph! I get over pretty quick though. My family thinks that one of the funniest things that I do is to come running to you trilling and excited like I haven't seen you in years, even if it's only been a minute or two since I saw them last. I can't help it, I just love to be around my family, I get sooo excited EVERY time I see them no matter how long it's been.

I have the most luxurious coat, even if I do say so myself. I look quite different from when I was a kitten, check out my photos.

Also, I had the most wonderful Christmas. I am so sad that the Christmas tree is gone. I loved laying on the tree skirt and didn't bother one ornament. Of course, I understood that I had to be good if Kitty Claus was going to come and leave me presents. I must have been great because I got tons of toys and treats and a cool stocking with a kitty on it.

Thank you Siamese Rescue!

Tulip

September 2010
Hey! It's Tulip! Just a quick update for my fans.

I am still doing great! I am a happy happy girl! My people call me a stinker sometimes, especially when I wake them up early in the morning. They have this thing hanging from the bedroom doorknob that makes noise when I nudge it. So if they aren't up when I am ready for my breakfast, I make noise! Then I sit right beside the door staring at the bed just to make sure they heard it. If they don't get up, I just keep doing it over and over! If that doesn't work, I just jump on and off the bed several times while trilling loudly.

I have also started an after shower inspection routine. Yes, I lay outside of the shower while you are getting cleaned up. I then do a double hand inspection, accompanied by additional cleaning where I think you may have missed. Sometimes my people try to slip by without having their hands inspected and I have to yell at them! I give them some serious meows, face all scrunched up, mouth open wide, just so they know I mean business. Otherwise I still have the sweetest squeeky voice. My lady calls me "Little Squeaker" sometimes.

I'm so silly!

I am still a good eater, have great litterbox habits AND my luxurious coat of course!

Check out my new pics!

MOLLY
Just arrived and like my sister, Annie, I'm not afraid of the doggie here, I love to cuddle and play, am good with my litter box and have a good appetite. I, too, would like a male kitty to go home with, so why not pick one from the pages here and ask about me, too!

SNOWDEN
Finally! It took awhile to get where I wanted to, but now I'm here and life is great! I started as a stray asking to come in, but the house was too full. Thanks to a lot of kind hearted people I made my way to VA where I've integrated with the crew here at the VA Center and I'm just loving life! I love people, and am very affectionate. I love other cats and play very well with others. And I don't run with scissors! (just kidding, sorry :) Anyway, I'm an excellent choice for someone, maybe someone like you?
Notes from Home
Snowden is doing great. All of his personality characteristics provided were definitely accurate. There is still a little trouble with family integration, but we are taking our time and spending lots of one on one time bonding. Snowden is beautiful and is such an affectionate cat. He loves to be petted and is always happy to see us. He is still very skittish, but we were prepared for that and have let him stay in his safe room, getting him out little by little.

BUNNI
HELLO....IS ANYONE THERE LOOKING FOR A BEAUTIFUL GAL LIKE MYSELF????

My foster meowm thinks I'm the best of the best rolled into one! She tells me that I am a sweet & gentle creature. I'm not sure about all of that, but I am sure that I enjoy being around people and I like to carry on a conversation. I would enjoy watching t.v. with you, sleeping by your side at night (as long as I can take up most of the bed) & most of all I so look forward to the day that I can come home with my forever family. All my meowm's fosters have come & gone while I'm just sitting here waiting. WHERE ARE YOU my forever family????? Come on..don't be shy...just click on that button & my foster meowm has all kinda stuff to tell you about me!!!

Hugs, Purrs & Kisses,
Bunni

P.S. - Foster Meowm wanted me to tell you that I do not jump on kitchen counters...not sure why that matters..but whatever!!

It has been just over two weeks since we brought Bunni home. She has made herself right at home. She has been fantastic!! We have had no issues with introducing her to the house or dogs!! She is sweet and gentle and patient with the dogs. She only uses her scratchers, always uses her litter box. Everyone that meets her can't believe how nice she is!! She lets anyone pick her up, cut her nails, rolls over for belly rubs. She absolutely LOVES the little mice toys!!! She batts them around the kitchen floor where they glide the most. When she can't find her mice, I know that I have to fish them out from under the stove and the fridge. It is a joy to watch her playing happily! We couldn't be happier with the entire process and all of the wonderful people we have met!!

D.J.
Affectionate, sweet-tempered, loving. I'm all those things. I lived with other cats in my previous life and am ready to go home. If the vet hadn't confirmed that I was a girl kitty, my foster mom would swear I'm a flame boy because I'm so mellow.

Notes from Home
Kendra's been doing very well. At first she wasn't too sure about her new "brother", Griffin, but I think they're coming to an understanding with each other. She loves to play with her dangley wand toys, and she's loving her new food as well. She's such a sweet girl. She's started laying on my chest/belly when I lay in bed and chirping for pets. If you scratch her back, she'll stick her butt in the air and eventually fall over onto her side like, "Ahhh... :)". She gets up in the oddest places sometimes. Such as on top of a 6 and a half foot wardrobe in a pile of folded curtains snoozing. She's such a joy to have and she's already loved so dearly. I'm so grateful to your organization for helping me find her :)
